UM Summit on Childhood PTSD

NNCTC hosted a summit on childhood PTSD on June 1-2, 2009, at The University of Montana. The event  brought together school counselors and service providers from Montana, Minnesota, and New Orleans who have been using and adapting the CBITS intervention (Cognitive Behavior Interventions for Trauma in Schools) for specific populations.  Click here to read the agenda.

Dr. Marleen Wong, Director for the Trauma Service Adaptation Center at UCLA, recently gave an interview on Montana Public Radio following her keynote address at the recent national conference on CBITS at The University of Montana. Click here to hear her interview.

Intersecting Interests

This gathering represents a unique Montana-Indian guided opportunity to create formal dialogue among researchers and tribal knowledge keepers regarding Tribal Knowledge Guardianship.
