Map and directions to the Co-Teach Preschool classroom in McGill Hall 015, The University of Montana.

When can my child start preschool?
As soon as your child turns three, he/she may attend Co-Teach regardless of his/her birth date. Children are enrolled on a first come - first served basis. Co-Teach reviews applications weekly and then informs families of the enrollment status. Occasionally we have a waiting list, but we make every effort to enroll children in a timely manner.

Are the classrooms age specific?
Co-Teach enrolls children ages three to five in both the morning and afternoon programs.

Does my child need to have toileting independence in order to attend Co-Teach?
No. Our program recognizes children acquire toileting independence at various ages. Therefore, we fully accommodate children of all toileting abilities. If toilet training is a priority for your family, we will work with you and your child to reach this goal.

How many days per week is my child required to attend preschool?

Co-Teach Preschool approximates The University of Montana calendar and is in session for 115 days throughout each academic calendar year (usually Monday through Thursday, with some variation depending upon holidays and university breaks). Families may discuss individual attendance options for their child(ren) with the Co-Teach Manager/Supervising Teacher and flexible payment plans for their families with the Tuition Coordinator, however, regardless of the number of a days per week, per semester, or per year a child attends preschool, the tuition rate remains the same. Co-Teach peer tuition is $750.00 per semester, $1,500.00 per academic year. Co-Teach does _not_ prorate tuition based on absences of any kind (i.e., family vacations, sick days, etc.).

What are the costs associated with my child attending Co-Teach?
Co-Teach tuition is $1500 per year (115 days). This cost includes daily snack, educational materials and all Co-Teach activities.

What kind of activities will my child participate in at preschool?
Children will have the advantage of participating in various activities that include, but are not limited to: whole group, small group, child-directed, and teacher-directed opportunities. During these activities teachers facilitate and reinforce the following skills: social/emotional/behavioral, cognitive, communication, early literacy and language, fine/gross motor and self-help skills.

Do you provide meals?
Co-Teach provides a nutritious snack in both the morning and afternoon programs. Snack costs are included in tuition; therefore, parents are not required to provide snacks for the children. During special occasions families are welcome to, but not required, to share food items with friends (i.e., birthday). In addition, please be aware that Co-Teach is a nut-free environment. In order to adhere to health guidelines and to avoid the danger of food allergies, all food items shared must be purchased from a grocery store (including ingredient label) and must not be home-made.
